If you have an interest in the revolutionary history of Boston, and enjoy seeing historic pubs, and enjoy locally crafted brews, this is the tour for you!
My brother and I came across the tour when doing research for our Boston trip, but we're disappointed that the tour was not scheduled for a time the few days we were in town. We emailed them, and Brooke scheduled a private tour for my Brother and I.
Our tour guide, Kristen, was absolutely fantastic. Charming, knowledgeable, smart, friendly, funny and passionate about history, she absolutely made this a memorable tour.
The tour was about 2 or 2.5 hours, and covered probably at least 2/3 of the "Freedom Trail" stops, with stops at three historic taverns along the way.
Kristen recommended several local brews at each stop, several of which were Sam Adams beers brewed exclusively for those establishments. As beer lovers, we truly appreciated this extra attention to detail, and appreciated not having to choke down Bud Lite or some equally other awful macro swill (though I believe you could if you wished).
The tour really made the history of the area come alive, and I can't recommend this tour highly enough. The next time I find myself in Boston, I will be taking the tour again. Book this tour.
