The food was excellent but I was disappointed that we paid for food and wine and then shared it with our guides. Also instead of allowing us space to enjoy the experience they were always at the table trying to control the conversations. It was very intrusive to say the least - if we wanted to ask questions we would have but having someone constantly talking was annoying.

Hi Terry, Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the food and wine, and I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the experience. I wanted to clarify that while I was shadowing yesterday, anything I consumed was paid for by my company. Your guide did not partake in any food; she merely tasted the new wine at your second stop. Since the restaurants regularly update their ingredients with the seasons, I like to ensure the pairings are still on point. This is why I didn’t finish the one plate I sampled. My guide noticed before I did that your group preferred to experience the tour without much commentary. This was a first for me, so I apologize if I was too eager to share. I was also excited to hear my newer guide’s progress with telling the stories that accompany the different stops. I sincerely regret if this affected your enjoyment. We genuinely strive to provide an enjoyable and relaxed experience for everyone, and I’m sorry we didn’t meet those expectations on this occasion.
