We had a bunch of friends that wanted to do this so we made a reservation. They stood us out under the ramada and got every person situated with the harness and all its clips, as well as a helmet, and off we went to the old open-sided truck to take us up to the top zip line. Our guides Turner and David were thorough in explaining what we needed to do and reassuring us since most of us had never done a zip line before. Both were fun, intelligent, and informative about the animals we could see below. By the way, that was a great vantage point to see the animals-every tower gave you a look at something different. But...trust me,when you're flying along, you're not looking at the animals then!
It was a warm day and the breezes were welcome. Since you're in the air,it's not nearly as hot as it could be,which in Camp Verde,is a good thing. Once you take that big breath and step off into the air,it's wonderful! A major adrenaline rush. Because the guides were always so thorough with all the clips, you always felt really safe. That lets you relax and enjoy.
Once you're back, you can buy cds with your pictures,to commemorate your visit. And of course, stuffed animals and t-shirts.
One thing you should know before you go...the big zip lines are a separate package from the short zip line that is an add on to the park admission. The Predator line cost the spring price of $90. The add on zip line costs $25 on top of park admission. You can get into the zip line office without going into the park. I would definitely recommend this attraction. It was a lot of fun.
