Specializing in whale watching & marine wildlife tours, we explore Sitka Sound & the pristine wilderness around the Tongass National Forest & the volcanic coastline of our island home. The surrounding waters are a marine playground for several whale species, including Humpback, Gray, and Killer Whales, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, puffins & sea birds galore!

Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and whales. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories. No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are unique due to weather and time of year.

Our tour guide/Captain was super informative and friendly. we were out about 2 hours and fortunate enough to see whales at a distance, sea otters and sea lions sunbathing, salmon jumping, fishing boats in action salmon fishing too. It was the perfect sunny day, odd in Alaska for the sun to be out, but fortunate enough to have sunshine all day long. Mountains covered in snow were the absolutely gorgeous. If you love nature, this is a must do!

Tour was on a fantastic fully enclosed aluminum craft with Maureen being an expert operator and knowledgable guide. It started with a pickup at the visitor center. Maureen was very communicative with me and started texting before our ship arrived. She walked us from the visitor center to her boat and after a quick safety briefing we were off. We saw sea lions, sea otters, mother and baby humpbacks and a bald eagle. She also took us to a beautiful secluded bay where the scenery was fantastic. Water was pretty smooth. Maureen really made us feel welcome and safe. Would highly recommend.

I can't say enough wonderful things about captain Jaren and our experience. Such a nice person and made the experience something we will always remember. Worked as a team with his brother Osborne of them saw something like whales they communicated to the other boat so we saw more during our trip. Highly recommend and would definitely do it again. Didn't trip while we were in port on a cruise and it was fantastic
