Specializing in whale watching & marine wildlife tours, we explore Sitka Sound & the pristine wilderness around the Tongass National Forest & the volcanic coastline of our island home. Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and whales. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories. No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are unique due to weather and time of year.

My family and I were just in Sitka and booked a tour with Sitka Sea Level Adventures for the second time. Just as last time, we had Jaren as our captain and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience aboard as he took us around the coastline surrounding his beautiful hometown. We saw bald eagles, sea otters, sea lions, humpbacks and grey whales, as well as the local lighthouse, volcano and fishing vessels of Sitka. Unlike the excursions that you can book through the cruise ship where you are one of many, Jaren’s tours provide a wonderfully personal, relaxed, and interactive way learn about and experience the best Sitka has to offer. Whales, Whales, Whales! Beautiful area! Sitka is magnificent. Great boat to get to the best areas. Well run nd very organized tour.

Our host was great. We enjoyed seeing Otters, Sea Lions, Eagles, and Gray Whales! A blow-hole (water spout) was also seen onshore. Smelling whale blow was a whole new "treat" (!!). This was a very personal experience (4-5 passenger tour) vs. the typical large-boat "excursion".
