Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon were totally awesome. Loved the jeep tours with the Navajos at both places. The BBQ at Monument Valley was also memorable. Jewelry shopping on reservation was good value. Generally, the tour was well organized and both driver and English/Italian guide did a fine job. The hotels in Flagstaff and Page were well situated and good value for the money. I'm only rating 4 stars for two reasons: 1 the bus AC died midday on the third day which was rough by 104 degrees 2 there was an extra French tour guide who spent the whole three days talking non stop to a lady passenger about his personal life. It was exhausting to hear him drone on and on.
This tour was excellent - tour guide Ingrid wonderful, just the right amount of information and guidance. There is a lot of time on the bus, be prepared. But it was well worth it. Hotels for the two nights were good. We did the two trolley bus tours in Sedona, I would perhaps just do the first one and have more time in Sedona itself. The highlight for me was definitely Monument Valley. The tour guide there King Arthur was entertaining, helpful and dignified. The BBQ in the valley was great - vegetarians well catered for. The views and atmosphere actually brought me to tears. Horseshoe Bend was amazing. Antelope Canyon was like nothing else in the world. You go in groups and it was busy and the guide keep us moving quite quickly, but this is a place like no other I have ever been. Valley of Fire at the end of the trip also fascinating. There were times when I would have liked a little more time, but for anyone who does not want to drive long distances themselves, this tour is fabulous. There were about 15 of us on the trip, in addition to Ingrid and Roberto a great driver there were two translators for non-English speaking members of the group. Everyone got on fine, although there was no pressure to mix more than you wanted. I did the tour with a friend, but would feel very comfortable if I was travelling on my own I am female aged 61.
I have no hesitation to recommend this tour - if you have chance - do it!
Great tour. Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon were beautiful! Be prepared for a lot of driving. Ingrid, our tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable and Ricardo, our driver, was a true professional. I really enjoyed this tour, even though more time was spent on the bus than anything else.
