It was an impromptu fishing trip after getting off the cruise ship, but it was a great time! The trip ended up being myself, a couple from the same cruise shop and another solo client from a different cruise ship. We met at the pier and got into a passenger van go get to the bank for fishing a little ways down the road. Once we arrived our guide had us start the paperwork for our fishing license, meanwhile he got our fishing poles rigged up and got us into hip waders. It seemed like a slow day for fish, I had heard from others that the king salmon run was slowing down so it wasn't much of a shock. We got into several schools of chum salmon and some dolly varden trout. I had a fantastic time and caught a gorgeous chum that we released and the others caught some very nice dolly trout. Our guide, Jake, was on time and professional. It seemed like a slow day on the river but he worked hard to get us into some fish. He offered expert guidance and was extremely knowledgeable as well as easy friendly conversation. This is a trip to catch beautiful fish in a beautiful place.

A very fun and entertaining tour, the guide explains everything very easily, very attentive and polite. I definitely recommend it, an experience I feel like if you were a local person from Juneau Alaska.
