Half an hour from Kissimmee, we booked for a 60-minute airboat tour from Boggy Creek. Arriving early, we enjoyed a look round and a very knowledgeable talk on Native American history in Florida from their on-site historian. After this, it was out onto the lake and a chance to see the Florida wildlife up close. Our airboat Captain Conner expertly guided us through the rushes and up close to alligators from 4 to 15 feet long. Taking the 3.45 tour meant that as the ride went on, we found more and more birds amongst the reeds and a variety of other wildlife. Bald Eagles, Banded Water Snakes, Herons, Egrets, and a lot more that beat my identification skills. 60 minutes is definitely recommend, as 30 would barely scratch the surface of the Florida ecosystem.

for me, this was a dream come true to see the aligators and all the other wildlife in their natural environment Bald eagles/ Osprey/Snail KIte egrets too many other to mention I liked it so much went back 3 times in the same week

I am absolutely terrified of boats and water. This was my first time to Florida and one of the things on my list of MUST DO items was an airboat tour. I decided on this one because they not only had an airboat tour but also a Native American village and a BBQ restaurant. From what I read on their site, you see more wildlife early so I booked a 60 minute tour first thing in the morning. I was sick to my stomach just thinking about stepping onto the boat. When the time came, I stepped onto the boat, expecting it to rock like most small boats, it didn't. Wow! I'm already feeling better about this. Then listening to the captain, hearing how experienced he was, I was able to settle in and try to enjoy the ride. There was a group of six of us on the boat. We saw several alligators, a bald eagle, lots of birds, and even a cow! The captain was amazing, he handled the boat so smoothly I forgot about being scared and busied myself taking pictures of all the sights. After the ride I had lunch at the restaurant onsite. It was good food at a decent price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Then off to the Native American village where we got to hear stories and see how the native americans lived in the area. Very interesting and informative.
