Ali'i VIP Whale Tour
Get the Royal treatment on our Ali'i VIP Whale Tour! We limit this tour to a maximum of 11 guests, so you have more opportunities to view the Humpback whales, and other sea life, in the most comfort possible. Our vessels are USCG rated to carry 26 guests, but this tour is all about you and your experience and is limited to 11 guests.

The Ali'i VIP Whale Tour is only offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Children must be at least four (4) years old.

Absolutely incredible! The whales were plenty, Justin (captain) and Chris (naturalist) were knowledgeable, respectful of appropriate distance, and made sure that a great time was had by all. Really appreciated the ‘small’ experience... they don’t take more than 11 passengers, and was a little worried that the added expense would be wasted. It was not! We all got to see everything. I was fairly concerned about the smaller boat size... the water was fairly choppy and the whales can be big! And I’m not a strong swimmer!! But I have to say, never felt unsafe, even when a larger mamma whale swam right under us. Would do this one again in a heartbeat. Note: This tour boards at a boat ramp, not a ‘marina pier’, no frills at the site; make sure to hit the public bathrooms before coming down toward the ramp and getting on board.

Thank you Captain Mark & Captain Justin, what an experience! I can highly recommend this trip. This Is the second trip I done with Blue Water Maui, having a smaller number of people on the boat made this trip even more magical. Not only was there plenty of space to watch the whales, but I had much more opportunity to ask questions and learn about these incredible Whales from Captain Mark and Captain Justin. These guys clearly love what they do and it shows. Great job Blue Water Maui.

We went out with Captain Justin and Chris and had an absolutely spectator time. Justin and Chris were so knowledgeable about the whales and their habits. I really enjoyed that Justin would turn the engine off when we were in the middle of a group of whales. When Justin and Chris said to look in the water, we could see one of the big whales swimming underneath the boat and come up so very close, it was quite a spectacular sight. Blue Water Maui is a must for small group whale watching and under very capable hands. Thank you for a memorial experience.
