Our tour guide, Andrea, was very friendly and knowledgable. She made the long trip from Sedona to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon much more enjoyable. We stopped at a trading post on the Navajo Nation and purchased a piece of beautiful native pottery. We were lucky to arrive at Horseshoe Bend when it wasn’t too busy (a Thursday in October). The weather was perfect for a short hike to the lookout. We had ample time to take photos and enjoy the view before heading out to lunch. Lunch was at a family restaurant where the food was pretty good (get the Oak Creek Amber beer, if you’re into that sort of thing!). Next we headed to Antelope Canyon where we met our tour guide Bambi. She was super informative and very friendly. We got to see both the Northern and Southern canyons at Canyon X. Bambi offered to take photos of us at various locations throughout the canyon where she knew the light was best. She also shared personal stories, language, and songs from the Navajo community which made our visit all the more special.
