I took one of the first City Brew Tours in Asheville with Nick, and it was amazing! We left downtown and checked out Burning Blush, amazing lagers! Then we went to 12 Bones Brewing, and Nick led us through a beer and food pairing. The Isla De Hueso is a dark lager with sea salt and lime, with the pulled pork it absolutely slapped! We stopped at Eurisko, and the Baltic Porter (Bear Claw!) was super unique, and very cool vibes. We also went to New Origin. Super cool brewery with plants all over the place, and excellent beer. Nick chose the beers we tried across the board, and I was pleasantly surprised with some choices that I wouldn't have personally made, was refreshing to be brought outside my box of comforts. We had some strangers on our tour as well, who were our drinking buddies by the end of it! One of them didn't even like beer, and by the end of the tour found a style that they really liked! Even though it was March, it was already 80 degrees outside, and it was really nice to be driven around in a van with AC. Not only did we learn about beer, but Nick brought us back into the brewhouse and explained the beer making process, super interesting! I can't recommend this tour enough if you're in Asheville!
