I wanted to take my 12 y/o to see some of Atlanta. So we booked this tour. We were met on time at the designated place. The shuttle bus drove us around the downtown area, passing several landmarks as promised. Ron is very well-versed in Atlanta details. We were allowed off of the bus 4 times. One, at the MLK memorial, one at a food court that was not yet opened for business, and the Beltline. The final stop was at another food court for our lunch. It was a popular place but quite pricey. After lunch, we toured the 'Buckhead' area where the rich and famous reside.
The tour delivered as promised. But...if I could make some suggestions? First, allow more stops where the riders could get off and look around. Perhaps at the Olympic Park. We did slowly pass it. But it would have been much more interesting to get out and walk across the park. Certainly more interesting than the Beltline, where we saw a skate park and graffiti.
Next, my son and I have no interest in the houses of the rich and famous. Had we known, we'd have ended our tour at the lunch stop. But we spent an hour looking at houses in the wealthy area of town, trying to stay awake. Granted...there are folks who like that, but we're not those folks.
In summation, we enjoyed Ron and Audrey and the tour. But we would have preferred to explore more of the sites, and less of the rich folks' homes.
