Didn't know what to expect as the tour didn't have a lot of reviews but really glad we took a chance on this one (We booked because of the discount) Our guide was great, really enjoyed listening to his stories, although some of the stories were scary / gory he did a good job at also being lighthearted. Enjoyed learning about the history of the city... Serial killer?!?! The Driskil is beautiful and had a lot of cool stories and a drink at The Tavern was a great way to start.

TLDR: it’s a fun walking tour, and I do recommend it! We started at The Tavern, and from there walked to the capital building, and then over to the Driskill. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and well-versed, making for a fun and entertaining tour. While I am familiar with many of the Austin ghost stories, I still learned a couple of new things on this tour. Note that this is a walking tour, so dress accordingly! It was a little cool when I went, but certainly tolerable. Total distance walked was just under 2 1/2 miles.

Jamie was an excellent storytelling guide! I’m a local, yet Jamie knew more history about Austin than I knew from my 10+ years living here. The ghost stories sent chills down my spine, revealing dark secrets about historic downtown locations I had never known. Great night activity for solos, friends, bachelorette/bachelor parties, couples, and for locals as well as tourists! Highly recommend!
