Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

Absolutely fantastic experience! My family and I enjoyed every second. The guide was very knowledgeable of our surroundings and was able to give detailed information regarding local landmarks. The guide was extremely helpful as this was our first time whitewater rafting. He made us as comfortable as can be. Definitely recommend!

A week ago, our family group of 11 (5 children, 9yo - 13yo and 6 adults, no age necessary) made a last minute reservation with Downstream Adventures. We all had a terrific time. Curt (Lamberth) was our very knowledgeable, engaging, and fun guide. Because several in our raft had never rafted before, he took the time to explain the features that distinguish Class 2 from Class 3 rapids and how rafts respond in eddies and falls. His safety chat was not at all frightening but was thorough. And during the run, he made sure our crew experienced a full soaking no matter where we were seated in the raft. The other half of the family had the other guide named Curt. The highest recommendation to be offered is that everyone wanted to go down the river again! Downstream Adventure is located in an unpretentious storefront without unnecessary bells and whistles. Staff was helpful. Their equipment, including wetsuits, helmets, and booties, was in terrific shape.

These guys were great. Great group rate. Looking forward to the next group visit to Denver. We will definitely do it again.
