Onizuka Visitor Information Station We will take a break at the Onizuka Visitor Center at an altitude of 2,800m or 9,000ft for early dinner and altitude acclimatization. We also change clothes for winter clothes here depending on the weather. Also gift shop is open for guests to purchase the items. (No food or drink sale)

Mauna Kea summit at an altitude of 13,796 ft (4,205 m) At the peak of Mauna Kea, you will see most of the observatory at the summit and we will be watching the sunset from the highest peak oin Hawaii. Enjoy a fantastic moment！

After the sunset, we will do stargazing using our refractor telescope and laser pointer. Our guide will explain about the star, constellation, and planets. Also we will take the astro photo with you in it! (The location of where we will do the stargazing may varies depending on the weather conditions)

This truly is THE BEST and cheapest Mauna Kea summit tour. From start to finish, excellent service, well-organized and super fun! This company has been around for 20+ years but has targeted the Japanese market. Because of Covid and lack of International guests, they have started English speaking tours. These guys are consummate professionals and we feel so blessed to have spent the day with them. We were lucky enough to get Shoyo as our guide. He was so knowledgeable and he couldn't have been sweeter. He took care of everybody and made sure everyone had a great time. He knew so much about geology and astronomy it was astounding. A huge bonus was his photos. He's an amazing photographer with some serious lenses that allow him to take phenomenol shots. Seriously, BOOK THIS TOUR. You'll be so glad you did!

Shoyo was the absolute best guide and host for a truly amazing experience. It is the perfect way to spend your afternoon and evening on Hawaii. What can top watching the sunset from the summit of Mauna Kea and seeing the starry skies up close. Every detail and our comfort was taken care of. Shoyo is an excellent photographer! We have come back with incredible photos! This exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much.

We had an amazing trip with our Guide Shoyo. We started our trip at around 3pm and drove to the visitors center at the volcano to aclimate and eat the delicious sandwich which Shoyo had prepared. We spent there around 60mins before going up to the summit to watch the sunset. Warm jackets and pants were included in the tour since it can get pretty cold up there. After the sunset we went down again to the visitors centers to watch and explore the night‘s sky. Shoyo knew a lot about the stars and the zodiacs in the sky - very interessting. During thr whole trip Shoyo was taking pictures of us with his professional camera and he sent us thr pictures once the trip was done. We had an amazing afternoon/evening with Shoyo and we thank him for taking his time with explaning a lot of interesting things to us as well as taking amazing pictures!
