I have to say, this was the absolute best walking tour I have been on. When we were looking at the dozens of options for tours in Salem, we were hoping for something that leaned more on history and less on sensationalism. This tour perfectly hit what we wanted. Our guide Joby was an excellent performer, a knowledgeable guide, and an all around nice person. He clearly knew what he was talking about, and more importantly, he cared about telling the stories accurately. If you are looking for a tour that mixes history, religion, and politics while telling a compelling story and being entertaining all at the same time, this is the tour for you.

5 Stars all the way! Sarah (with an h!) was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable, and she structures the path of her tour chronologically which only makes sense. (Some tours I witnessed didn’t seem to be doing that.) Sarah moonlights as a successful podcaster, so her well-honed mic skills make for a perfect tour guide voice for the spooky and the macabre. Though the subject matter is macabre (and sad), Sarah does a wonderful job of injecting just enough humor to keep it light. She even held the attention of my two teens (they only used their phones for photos! 🤯). She also stops for a bathroom/water refill break in the middle 👍.
