This tour was recommended to us by a local and it sounded really interesting. Even though we were staying in Orlando and this was about an hour away, we still went ahead and booked this tour.
Overall tour was really amazing! The bioluminescence was really amazing. It was fun watching the water glow as we paddled. Also, the water lit up as our kayaks cut through the water. And every now and then, we would see streaks of blue light just under the surface of the water, which indicates fishes darting around underneath us.
It was supposed to be a 2 hour tour, but because of thunder nearby we had to land our kayaks for around 30 minutes while we waited for the thunder clouds to pass us and for the all-clear signal before we got back in the water. Because of the delay, our tour guide gave us more time on the water.
Unfortunately, our tour guide wasn't up to making this experience more memorable. In the beginning, he talked a lot as he led us around. But after the thunder delay, he seemed to change. He would paddle out to the middle of the inlet and just stop. He didn't say why or give us any instructions. It would have been nice if he said we're going to stop here for 30 minutes and we could paddle around and play with the water. And when we asked what's going on, he seems annoyed when responding.
Anyway, experiencing the bioluminescence was a very unique experience and would definitely recommended it to anyone. Not sure I'd recommend this tour guide and/or company though.
