Very enlightening tour. One of the best ever. Our guide has learned so much about the civil rights struggle in "Bombingham", slang for Birmingham. He shared his knowledge and passion for this city by taking us to places I would not have known about and told us stories of the bravery and struggles that people made to pass the Voting Rights bill, desegregating the schools, the businesses, and so much more. I never knew about the stand that First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt took by refusing to sit in the "whites" only section of the Boutwell Auditorium. Nor, did I truly understand the vicious, racism of Bull Connor and the KKK. I could go on and on, but anyone who pays a visit to Birmingham must take this tour for a deeper insight to where we came from and where we're going in America.
