We went on two Adventure Sightseeing Tours this week August 18-23, 2020. From the first where Alan stretched the truth about face masks we were put off. People all over Charleston weren’t wearing masks, passing police who couldn’t care less. He'd said people were being fined $100 for not wearing masks, even outside.
Well, it’s a personal preference of mine to breath, and I’m just stating what really went on, not what we were told.
The tour to Magnolia Plantation was informative, but the fans on the bus were too loud, and unless he turned up his mic we couldn’t make out what he said. But he had a lot of history and it was great. However when he picked up new people he repeated himself a lot. We heard the same shpeel at least four times. It would be nice to have him learn new material. Hearing him call the Charleston Architectural Review Board “The H.O.A. from H.E.L.L. three times was eye-rolly.
And the trips back from each plantation were silent. He had nothing else to say. He listened to the symphony instead. Hm.
