Visited Boston end of Oct. thru first Week of Nov.2017. Used this company to get overview of city on my first day..
This is one of several companies that offer trolley service in Boston.. The route has 9 stops essentially at all of the very popular tourist sites (see there website for details).. Takes maybe and hour and one half to go completely around. Then I decide to hop off and start to see sites up close.
Tour guides were excellent, providing lively talk as we circled all the great places. Even those places we did not stop at were pointed out and info given. Drivers very well trained, there was not a question that they could not answer. They were also so sweet when people got off. First made sure that this was the correct stop to see the site, then specifically pointed out just where to turn to find sites that were off the larger streets. This was so helpful because Old North Church, and Paul Revere House, and Burying ground was not in sight when people are dropped off. Driver made sure we turned, caught the Freedom Trail and found them.
Buses are nice, clean, and open air with roll down wind/sun/rain screens. When we started to board at Long Wharf, driver adjusted to put some up and some covered, so we could pick which we wanted. Having the covers rolled up puts nothing between rider and the sites, so my photos were great (Just hate dirty glass, can't snap any good pictures thru them-- this setup was a bit cooler, but it really was worth it).
I bought ticket in Quincy Market area. Tour company has a little shanty on wheels near market for info and tickets sales. Staff there was very friendly and professional. Always answered questions clearly and made sure that those walking to the wharf to catch trolley walked off in right direction. Great staff.
I liked this smaller setup of less stops in the route a lot. Everything moves along pretty quickly, trolley hit all the stops in maybe hour and one-half, and I never had to wait for a trolley at any stop. Seem to come every 15 minutes or so ( 75% of time, trolley was at stop when I exited site). Heard no one complain about waiting too long or having any problems.
Never got to take the optional Harbor Cruise, so my ticket is still good (I took a Whale watch adventure instead).
