We purchased tickets for the trolley and 45 minute harbor tour from 1 of the many kiosks found all over the downtown area by the piers and the Marriott Hotel which is where stop 1 is. The trolley passes all of the important areas with stops at the Revere House, North Church, USS Constitution, Old State House/Faneuil Hall, Boston Common, Beacon Hill, and Children's Museum. Both the Harbor Tour and the Trolley Tour where very well narrated with not only a wealth of information but with a splattering of humor so pay close attention to the driver. 2 tickets cost us under $80 which is a real steal for the quality of the info. I would say go early in the morning because by around 11, the line Stop 1 was long. Also note that this is NOT Old Time Trolleys that were recommended by the port person who came onboard. Snacks and beverages including local beer was available on the harbor tour.
