We bought a hop on tour with a boat tour to be told that this is no longer valid, no refund offered. The tour was distincly underwhelming in every way.

Hi Jane, we apologize for the harbor cruise no longer offered after the date your tickets were purchased, that change was made from the harbor cruise company on short notice to us (harbor cruise are now offered at a 20% discount, see link on our website cityviewtrolleys.com)...we absolutely will refund the cruise portion of your tickets, please email your Booking Number and information to [email protected]

Our initial experience with the Cityview Hop-on-Hop-off bus was that we could not find the exact location of *our* starting point, which was stop 5. We finally saw it approaching from down the street. Precise stop locations would have saved a little stress. The GPS audio guide App required a password, which could only be obtained at the info booth at Stop 1. The website claimed it would be on the ticket. When I got the password, I tried it out but decided it was not worth using for our purposes. We experienced 4 different drivers that day. The first driver was talking about Leonard Nemoy's Bostonian roots. Not exactly good tourist info. The next driver just used the pre-recorded audio, simply pointing to sites. The 3rd driver was actually entertaining and informative. That was the expectation I did not get from the other drivers. Our last driver was focused on playing a song about an old Bostonian mayor while stuck in traffic, as another driver from behind overtook us. We missed the fine print that specified a ticket was good for "one round trip". I am used to the concept of hop-on-hop-off buses not caring how many times you went around. But there is no way they could really enforce this unless one stayed on the bus the entire time. We zig-zagged back and forth anyway, so "round trip" didn't really apply.

We have several communication methods available to our customers at all times including live website chat, Viator chat, email and live phone calls...we are here to assist with any questions. The activation code for the Walking Tours is available from all driver/guides, sales kiosks or all the communication methods listed above. We do encourage and educate our guests how to best maximize their time and to plan ahead which stops interest them the most and which to visit so they do not run out of time...there is so much to see and explore throughout our tour route.
