My family (five adults) had a great time with a great guide, Denison. He kept us safe and in the boat, while explaining the geography and history of the region. I was laughing and whooping as we churned through the rapids. We were told the water was flowing at something like 3,400 cubic feet per second, up from 500 to 700 cubic feet per second at this time last year, because the snowpack was seven times deeper than 2018. That made the run fast and cold -- and thoroughly fun. All of the guides for our group were very good. Kara gave a thorough and informative safety presentation that prepared us well. The team that helped fit us for wet suits, helmets and life vests were attentive, knowledgable and helpful. They seemed to be having fun even with these routine tasks for first-timers like us. (And Swanee's jokes were appropriately "bad" on the bus rides.) But special kudos to Denison for his guidance and encouragement. We would happily do this again, and we highly recommend The Adventure Company.
