We hit this park on a BUSY week during Spring Break but still enjoyed it! We ended up buying the Quick Queue passes for both days we visited an these are a life saver. You still had to wait in line but a much shorter line. A normal 90 minute wait for Cheetah Hunt was about 20 minutes or so for Quick Queue. Parking to get into this park is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Something needs to change with this. It should not take over an hour to park. It was backed up 3 intersections with no one directing traffic until you get into the actual parking lot. Arriving at the parking at 10am, we got parked by a bit after 11am, then walked to the entrance and waited about 15 minutes for COVID checks, then another 30 minutes to go through the turn styles. Once in the park you're good to go. We signed up for the Flamingo Animal Encounters Experience (a few weeks ago online) and this was incredible! It was so cool being up super close to these gorgeous animals as I never had been that close to flamingos before. The train ride here is a MUST! Wow!! It takes you through the Serengeti and up pretty close to quite a few animals such as giraffes and zebras. The scenery is amazing! Shekira, Montu, Cobra's Curse, Montu, Sand Serpent, and Scorpion are all fantastic. Oh and Falcon's Fury! Best drop tower EVER! Food at Zambia Smokehouse was delicious! The Photo Key system needs some work as some photos were not working or coming out all dark. But we managed to get 4 photos with ours on day that we used it. I do like how they can give you a temporary card early in the day where you can scan your photos too and then have the option to buy them at the end of the day if you want. Most parks make you buy this ahead of time and you're out of luck if you do not like your photos. Merchandise in this park is VERY poor. No coaster shirts or hoodies...none at all. Most shirts and merchandise is very generic. I like buying stuff from parks that have the park and location on them, not some "Billabong" or other crap you can find in the malls. I did find a few cool shot glasses and magnets. Overall, we enjoyed this park. Just will have to visit when it is less crowded. I also want to do the many other animal experiences they offer too. They have a lot to choose from! Oh and my favorite policy about this park!! They allow Go Pros on the coasters and attractions as long as you have a proper harness or mount for it!! This is super cool! I believe Busch Gardens Williamsburg is like this too! I wish all parks had this policy.
