Lots of fun. The experienced guides Dylan and pat were cool and chill and laid back and told interesting stories. They did their best to steer us into the biggest waves.

How can you choose a favorite moment in the Experience of your Life!! First time ever white water rafting at age 70. We had class 2 thru class 4 rapids. What a thrill!! We were outfitted with a dry suit and shoes to go over the foot part of the suit - be sure and double up your socks to keep your feet warm. Helmets and Life jackets were provided for safely and a checklist of "what to do just in case" made me feel I was in good and safe hands. To paddle or not is your choice and instructions and learning how it's done was as soon as you get going when the water is mostly calm. Photos, taken along the way in a few spots, are available for purchase so you can wow the folks back home. CANNOT WAIT TO SHOW MY KIDS!! Thank you Dylan and Pat and all the Staff at New Wave Adventures for the big check mark on my bucket list.

New Wave Adventures Rafting was an excellent experience. I brought my mom and her friend and we drove up from Anchorage but it was well worth it. We called the day before to make reservations and they offered military discount. We checked in at 2pm and it took about an hour for the whole group to get suited up, loaded on the bus, and taken to river. Each boat hold 8 people, not including the river guide. It’s another 1.5hr to paddle up the river. The company no longer allows individuals to swim in the river so that was a bummer. When we got back there were photos available for purchase but our guide took photos with his phone which were much better and we tipped him well for them! Would recommend to anyone, but bring your own gloves and dress warm.
