If you want to see the bottom of Dead Horse State Park Overlook, take this trip. You will get to see some impressive sights. Our guide Larry was very informative. My only suggestion is not get the truck he drove. It's name was Big Drops. If you need air conditioning, this ride doesn't have it continuously. It failed near the end of the trip and it was 110 degrees that day. But hey, the humidity is low!!
It was a truly amazing adventure. Our guide for the morning was Ben. We went on the Arches tour the day before so we knew what to expect with our vehicle and quality of tour. We went to Island in the Sky part of Canyonlands. The scenery is mind boggling -- the rock formations, particularly those that include the Colorado River are incredible. We had a perfect day with the clouds cooperating for perfect photos. We enjoyed learning about the geology that transformed a sea bottom to the cliffs, plateaus and mesas was very educational. The fact that early cowboys drove cattle up the roads that we traversed was difficult to comprehend. I would highly recommend the tour and Ben. I will add that the one lane dirt road up to the top is a bit exciting. And, looking down from Thelma and Louise point is exhilarating.
LaLee was great and very informative. She knew all the great picture spots and her driving skills were great. Would highly recommend this tour!
