Having "ziplined" before, I figured this would be similar to your average theme park thrill ride. Au contraire.... This guided tour starts you out in a very unique Army vehicle in Salida, CO. From there, you drive through breathtaking canyons, gorges and ravines providing a very pleasurable ride to the "thrill site." Once at the site, the very experienced (and entertaining) tour guides get you safely set up for the ziplines and give you a thorough lesson on the practice line. This is when the real fun begins! From the very first zipline that shoots you across huge, picturesque cliffs, you become thirsty for more and more. By the time the tour is over, you are rearing to go again! Not only is it fun and exciting, it's great for guests of all ages. We even took my grandmother with us! For a half day adventure, this is the best bang for the buck! Even the ride to and from the ziplines was great!!!!

I read about Captain Zipline in the Frontier Airlines Magazine on my flight to Colorado and called the toll-free number. Reservationists were friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. Clean van takes you out into the canyons outside of Salida. Thorough instruction and safety checks before trying out your new skills on a low cable. Instructors were humorous but 100% safety conscious. 6 ziplines over beautiful terrain. Will definitely go again next time in in the area. Great value for the experience! Most highly recommended!

Captain Zipline was one of the highlights of our trip to Salida. Wonderful views and lots of fun. Monty was great and made the day more wonderful. If you are looking for something different to do on your vacation, this is a great option!!! Would do it a hundred times over!!
