Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a ticket with instructions and a unique code listed under “Before You Go”. Then simply install the VoiceMap app and enter your code.

The app displays directions to the starting point, and when you’re in the right place, just pop in your headphones and tap start. VoiceMap has automatic GPS playback, with turn-by-turn directions. It also works offline.

Please note that this is a hilly walk.

The narration is interesting but the homes are hard to see with all the mature trees around. I would suggest a stronger warning about the steep grades you will experience. I was unable to complete the tour.

We couldn't find the cottages!! The addresses were not available, i used maps to search general locations and even asked people, couldn't find it

Once the tour is downloaded, you receive directions to the starting point and the app provides a live map for seamless navigation. Also, the tour features audio and on-screen directions. It sounds like your disappointment is more related to the area's physical signposting and layout than the tour or the app's navigation. The audio tour was easy to follow with just the right amount of information...3 minutes or less per house. Walking this beautiful area and seeing historic homes was well worth the time, less than an hour. Being able to walk uphill and down is a requirement! Wear good walking shoes!
