The boat ride was OK - the captain and guide was a little hard to hear as the audio system in the cabin seemed obsolete. The captain had some interesting stories on the way back, but his voice was soft and was hard to hear unless you paid close attention and weeded out the background noise on deck (which I did for the most part). I did have an issue with the Catalina Island Tour company. Also bought tickets for the Avalon City tour, but after this tour my wife boycotted going on a second tour without lunch. I tried to exchange tickets for a later time or another day (this was the first of a three day stay). Operator said that the rest of the tours for the day was booked, but did not want to look for other days - don't know if it is a system issue. In either case, those tickets went to waste. I guess the disclosure says non-refundable after a certain date, but I didn't think it would have been too hard to look for another opening in the next day or two. Such as it is.
