Was not the tour I was expecting. Movie Sites Tour meant Movies (not TV sites) At least I thought when I signed up to attend this tour. Nothing was wrong with the tour guide--it was just the content. Also the directions were incomplete waited 45 minutes in wrong location--where on 59th street? What landmarks?
firstly, anyone reading this should know that the directions for the start of the tour are at best misleading! The meeting point is REALLY on the 59th St side of Central Park, across from the Plaza Hotel, where you see the Oak Room. There IS a subway entrance there, but you will look hard to find it. So don't stand at the entrance to Central Park, as you will miss your tour. The tour itself was very informative, but if you are overweight like me, it is really fast paced. Maybe they could slow down a little or have 1hr tours to specific areas within the park?
We had a great tour guide that took us through Central Park to show us where different movies were filmed and other information about television shows were "filmed out" and also where some famous people live or have lived. The tour was 2 hours and we walked 2 miles but no one complained - it was awesome! I would highly recommend this for people who need new ideas when they visit NYC!
