Recommend looking elsewhere for diving. I’ve been diving all over the world and multiple times on other Hawaiian islands, but haven’t encountered such a “loose ship” like Dive Oahu. I booked 2 divers for nitrox diving, and when I saw company hadn’t pre-booked the nitrox, I called back the day before our dive to ensure it had been charged and arranged for our dive because regular air makes me violently ill. So, when we arrived and got on boat to discover no nitrox tanks on board, we inquired about it. Had a loose answer, “I think they are going to get it” from staff. So, we went about the dive briefing etc and as we were ready to push away from dock, I inquired again and they stated they didn’t fill any tanks so it wouldn’t be available.
At that point, we chose to leave the boat (it’s just not worth getting sick) and told we could get a refund. So we go back to the shop where a very rude receptionist gives us a hard time about the refund (within 48hours) but eventually we get our refund.
Additionally, they say to meet at dock 6:30 for 7am departure, but boat didn’t leave until 7:30. They also seemed confused about which passengers were to be on the boat. They assured me on phone that the early dive had experienced divers, but had brand newly certified divers booked for the trip.
At that point, we lost 3 hours of vacation and couldn’t book a dive that day through another company. Overall, very disorganized company that cost us time and dive opportunities. When the frustration settled from the experience, we both agreed it was probably best we did NOT dive with this company given their practices and lack of professionalism.

Thank You for the Nice email. Yes there is a 48 Hour cancelation policy , Because we provided Staff / equipment for your dives I believe this is a industry standard. The mean person( Staff member) had to Call someone to ok the refund. I personally did you original booking Nitrox was never talked about. You did call back and ask for it later that morning , I saw that in the booking notes, Hence the reason we refunded within 48 hours . We could not provide something that you paid for. I've never heard of anyone needing nitrox for sickness . or making someone violently Ill and I've only been diving for 35 years I guess this will be the first. I will follow up with DAN( divers alert network) and check this out . Time .... The boat was ready to for departure at 7, the staff was trying to look for nitrox in our trucks because it was missed on the gear manifest ( I had them look at the main shop too). I also talked to you and helped you off the boat . that was at 7:15 and yes the Boat did push off late ... most of that was trying to get you off the boat in a nice way.. But we had a amassing great time and 2 people left great reviews from that trip We saw sharks, turtles and octopus . If we are blessed with your presents again we will give you free nitrox
