Charleston Women and Wine Tour

Огляд
The Women and Wine is a combined history and bar tour that will include two bar stops and historic sites in between. Designed by two locals Gia and Capt. Bryan the focus of this experience is on women who changed the scene politically, socially, and economically in this city of firsts. Feel free to purchase a glass of wine/beer/ or cocktail in a wine bar started by female entrepreneurs and be introduced to women who were active in Prohibition era Charleston. From there guests will explore the historic district and sites associated with influential women in awe inspiring tales of adversity and strength. Guests will finish the tour in a second bar establishment. This tour is designed with a focus on historic women of Charleston but promises to be an adventure for guests of all backgrounds and the first of its kind being offered in Charleston.
*** To keep our price point low, Drinks are Not Included in the tour price but can be purchased from our partner establishments.

This was a great tour for an affordable price, Gia, our guide, was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her topic. She was interesting and full of stories to share. The tour started at Well Hung winery. Wine was excellent and the pours generous. From there we started our walk where Gia strolled at a leisurely pace and stopped often to share information. The tour concluded at Blind Tiger . I would recommend the Women and Wine tour to anyone looking for a walk around the city, good wine and a nice way to spend a couple of hours. BTW.. my friends husband was with us and he enjoyed the tour as well.

Learning how women played a part in the history of Charleston. Also we enjoyed very good wine, and met very accommodating shop owners.
