This tour was fantastic and more than I expected. Chef Jacquie is not only knowledgeable about the Italian Market and surrounding area but also about the history of Italian immigration. She was fascinating. Take her suggestion and bring a cooler all of the food we tried was delicious. We got to try several different meats and cheeses from DiBruno Brothers. I bought several of the things I tasted because you can't get those products where I live in Virginia. Definitely buy the blood orange oil and Lambrusco Vinegar at Cardena's Tap room. Paired together on a salad they make your taste buds sing. We had handmade tortillas at San Roman Tortilleria. I enjoyed watching the machine they used to make the tortillas and eating the tortillas hot off the "press." So many new experiences for me I can't relate them all.

I booked this tour for a company team building activity and it was a HUGE hit. All of my colleagues raved about how much fun they had tasting all the foods at the Italian Market. Chef Jackie is an amazing and engaging host. Even though I've personally been to the market countless times, I learned so many new things about the history of the market. Come hungry - there's plenty of great food to fill your belly.

As foodies, we were seeking an authentic experience of the Italian Market and Philadelphia’s Italian-American food culture. We are so grateful we chose Jacquie over some of her more cookie-cutter competitors, as she delivered just that. Jacquie was informed and personable; she introduced us to many of the market’s incredible sites, smells, and flavors. She shared stories of her life between Philadelphia and Bologna, Italy, and tales of her immigrant ancestors. A former chef, Jacquie enjoys lifelong friendships with some of the restauranteurs and shopkeepers she introduced us to. We felt almost like locals as we chatted with these generous folks about olive oil, cheeses, and more. Jacquie offers an authentic and unforgettable journey through the Italian Market.
