*Our mission is to make your tour the highlight of your vacation! We will do everything we can to make that happen! Our captain is a local who has navigated these waters for over 40 years!

*Our tours are a Full 2 hours around Chincoteague and Assateague! We run all brand new boats and travel over 25 miles of coastline. Sunrise and Sunset tours available!

*Our tours allow you to have the best, up close and personal experience to see ponies and other wildlife such as eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, dolphin, and beautiful sunsets around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

*Each experience includes a tour of the island and cruise through small guts and waterways to get you up close to an abundance of wildlife and scenery.

*We look forward to sharing our Island with you!

Captain Mike is engaged, entertaining, and has a passion for the Chincoteague Ponies. His intimate knowledge of the Chincoteague Bay allowed Mike to get us up close into the ponies' natural habitat. While on the tour, we saw dolphins, eagles, and at least 40 different Chincoteague ponies up close and personal. The tour felt like a bunch of old friends hanging out together, watching the unique wildlife of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Well done, Captain Mike.

We did the northern herd roundup pony Tour with Mike on 9/21/24. We had the best time!! Mike is extremely knowledgeable about history of the island and about the ponies. We had so much fun!! Highly recommend Up The Bay Pony Tours!!

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our boat tour this morning. Mike was an excellent captain and we loved the locals perspective. His knowledge of the Bay and his efforts to show us ponies was above and beyond. Enjoyed his personality and friendliness.
