This was my husband’s and I first trip to Charleston, we really enjoyed it. Meet the bus at Myrtle Beach at 6:45am and arrived back around 7pm. Wendy was a wonderful driver, she was so pleasant and experienced, Richard drove us around Charleston and gave us the guided tour he was great as well. They both kept us on schedule, if you asked any questions they would help you out anyway they could. It was a great way to see Charleston, with not having to worry about traffic and parking. When we arrived we were offered a bathroom break (bus also had a bathroom), and switched over to a smaller bus with Richard to tour Charleston, then he parked let us off and we had an hour to shop at the market and surrounding area, we meet a lot of nice vendors at the market. We arrived back at our bus early and some of the others on our tour were already on the bus, Richard served us our turkey sandwich, with chips, banana, cookies and a drink. We ate on the bus while waiting for the others to arrive, you can also take it on the ferry with you (our next destination) as you travel over to Fort Sumpter, after Fort Sumpter we had a choice of Boone Hall Plantation or the USS Yorktown. We chose USS Yorktown, Richard drove us there and Wendy took the others to Boone Hall Plantation. We would really do this trip again, there is so much more to see, you can’t see it all one day. It is a long day, with a lot of walking, I see why they tell you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You can leave your coat and purchases on the bus you ride down on because it’s the same one that takes you back.
