This tour runs along the Denali Highway, which is outside the National Park. You go out along this highway and back the same way. They do make several stops where you can take pictures and just enjoy the scenery! Each Jeep has a speaker in it so you can hear the guide's narration of the tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and interesting! This is not an off-roading Jeep tour . . . the road starts out paved and then becomes a gravel road, but don't expect a muddy, adventurous off-road trip. We had a GORGEOUS day during the 4th of July weekend, and got a fabulous view of Mt. McKinley (Denali)!! We were surprised to hear that few visitors actually get a view of it, so we considered ourselves quite blessed! We had a large group (every Jeep was used!) and our guides made sure everyone kept pace, with a guide bringing up the rear. Most Alaskan tours talk about the wildlife you'll probably see. We did a 10 day driving tour from Fairbanks to Seward and NEVER saw one moose or bear the entire time we were there!! So don't count on wildlife sightings (we did 2 different kinds of boat tours, an ATV tour and this Jeep tour, plus driving hundreds of miles, and didn't see a single thing . . . oh, except for a couple eagles). So don't do a tour just to see wildlife, because the tour companies obviously cannot guarantee you'll see anything! There is one restroom stop, but it was in a campground, and the area outside the restrooms was FULL of mosquitos! I felt bad for the guide who stood outside with hand sanitizer for those using the restrooms!
