I was tempted to give this a 3 star rating, but really, most of the issues I had were not really the fault of the vendor (lack of wildlife) or were my own hyped-up expectations.
We did the morning tour in late July. Weather in Healy was awful but fine and somewhat sunny out on the Denali highway. We actually got some partial views/pictures of Denali, which can be rare. Wildlife was rare on this trip. A moose apparently ran across the road in front of the guide's jeep, he reported on the CB and we all stopped. By the time we stopped the moose was 150 yards into the brush and only a few others saw it. I climbed up on the jeep's door frame and caught a glimpse of his head and antlers before he ran off. No time for pictures or even binoculars. Only other wildlife were the two white dots of swans way down in the valley.
The guide was trying hard to find wildlife, but since the route is up and down the Denali highway, he really has no control over that.
When my wife said we're taking a jeep excursion, I was thinking getting out into the woods a bit to find some wildlife and have a bit of jeep fun. So I was a bit disappointed there. I ended up driving the whole time since the other couple we were paired with wanted me to start driving and they didn't offer to switch at the half way point. Honestly, it gave me something to do when not seeing wildlife.
Jeeps are in good shape, with only a few nicks in the windshield from rocks. Narration from the guide is over the two-way CB radio with good speakers. Frequent stops for scenic pictures and a snack break at the half way point.
We're glad we did this rather than sit on a bus the whole time to try and find wildlife.
We didn't have kids with us, but I'm sure younger kids would get bored fast on this tour.
