I am not much of a hiker but I didn't want to visit Denali and see it all from a vehicle, This proved a wonderful to get out and enjoy nature while moving around. It lasted about two hours and was done at a reasonable pace. Our guide Julie was extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and able to show us every thing from multiple types of berries - cow berries, bear berries, soap berries, blueberries and raspberries -- to moose poop to squirrel pantries. Her enthusiasm for and tremendous knowledge of things such as lichen and moss was contagious and gave the entire experience an extra level of enjoyment. The hike was certainly good exercise but nothing strenuous or steep was involved.
