We loved this so much, we brought six groups of friends and family over the summer to experience this amazing adventure. Each and every group said this was the highlight of their Alaska visit! The tour offers something for all ages and interest levels. We learned so much about the world of dog sledding from Matt and Liz, we came back to cheer them on in the Iditarod! And now as boosters, the 17th Dog Team is forever a part of our lives.

This was a wonderful trip/activity that my wife and I took this summer. Not only was the owner personable and friendly, he treated us as if we were the most important part of his day. We toured the kennel, saw the puppies, rode the sled (summertime) and learned about mushing and dog sledding. We hope to go on another tour this winter where maybe we can ride in a sled on snow.

When we showed up to the kennel, we were greated warmly by Matt & Liz. They were so happy to show us around the kennel, introducing us to the various Iditarod finishers, and letting us spend some extra time in the puppy pen (my favorite!). We especially loved their side room full of merchandise and memorabilia. It was so interesting to hear how Matt worked his way from Ohio to having his dogs featured on the cover of Oprah's magazine! We didn't have time for a dog sled adventure tour, but were able to see the set-up and could tell they were about as enthusiastic as the pups in meeting new people and getting them out on the trail to experience some of the mushing fun first-hand. Have recommended them before, and will continue to do so! You won't find anyone else in the game as client-focused and dog-loving as these two... and we live in Alaska! :)
