This part of the Animas River is mostly class 1 & 2, with a couple of class 3 midway. Not great if you are an experienced rafter, but great for a family with kids. We were a group of eight with ages between 8 and 74. Everyone had a blast. Our guide Cole was terrific, always steering us into the bumpiest hay stacks and, during quiet stretches, was a wealth of information about the Durango area. I give "5" ratings sparingly, but this was great.

I'm a former guide so I wanted to make sure we found a good company to introduce my family to rafting. We had a bunch of first timers and Raven and Zach did a great job safely taking us down the town section. Raven balled out with the paddle raft even when we went over a drop backwards ;) Funny, smart, personable guides who made the trip safe and fun even for those who were nervous beforehand. Even my mom jumped in the water! Was a great addition to our vacation and I'd recommend them to anyone wanting to raft the Animas.

Our family had an absolute blast! The entire guide crew was awesome. Our boat guide was Sid, and she was beyond amazing. She made the experience better than we could have imagined. If you plan on going rafting this group is the way to go. The tour went through class 1 to 3 rapids. Our group ranged in age from 7 to 74 and the whole trip was handled without any issues. If I had to put a word on it..... FUN
