BUYER BEWARE!!! This company will not deliver on what you think you’re purchasing. We thought we were purchasing a 1.5 hour sunset horseback riding trial — since that’s what it said when I made the purchase. They took us out into the woods on the resort, where the sunset was barely visible, since we were inside a forest. THEN they cut our ride short by an entire half hour! We paid for 1.5 but only got 1 hour. That’s 1/3 of the ride!! Thievery!! When I inquired about why the ride was cut short.. their answer was “the horses must have went faster today.” How does that even make sense?! And trust me when I say the horses couldn’t have been going slower if we were standing still. Additionally, don’t think that you’re “tour guide” is going to do anything remotely close to touring or guiding. She said all of 5 words to us during the hour we were out. I don’t expect much from these types of horseback excursions because it’s typically just a follow the leader kind-of-thing, but providing the promised services should be the bare minimum. Don’t waste your money!!!

The sunset horseback ride with East Zion was a fun experience. The scenery is incredible and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The horses were very docile and very little horseback riding experience is needed. As Olive mentioned in her review, the ride is pre-sunset. You are returning back to the stables as the sun is setting, not after and the horses to walk nose-to-tail. Coming from out of state, I was also surprised that masks/face coverings weren't required in indoor areas. However, it was overall a fun experience!

I sent my teenage girls on this horseback ride with Austin. They have been on horseback several times in the past but this one was their favorite to date. Wrangler Austin was super professional and very charismatic, he even let my youngest ride his own personal horse to improve her experience. We did many adventures with the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and none of them were anything but outstanding!
