eBike Rainforest Experience

After a 9 mile narrated van ride to the north end of Douglas Island and a short training session, guests start e-biking. After riding along the shoreline on a paved dedicated bike lane taking in fresh ocean breezes and stunning views of the largest national forest in America. The tour takes you on a short walk down an old growth Forrest path to a secluded beach offering amazing photo opportunities.

My friends and I had a wonderful tour! Now, just to set expectations, it is Alaska and you are biking in a temperate rainforest. This means rain and the potential for colder weather. It was in the low 50's for us and we had rain. The e-bike Alaska team, Sione and Ame, made sure we were well outfitted for the bike ride. We were outfitted with helmets, gloves, rain ponchos and high quality e-bikes. They took time to make sure those new to e-bikes were comfortable with the controls. We got to see wonderful views and had a hike through the rainforest. Sione provided information on many of the plants we encountered as we hiked through the forest. We had a great time and recommend it to others!

Great excursion and the staff were amazing! We were late getting into port and the owner called us to let us know they would pick us up at the ship. We had a beautiful ride through a scenic roads and a beautiful walk thru the forest. It ended up being a nice bit of exercise and sightseeing. Would definitely do it again!

This was my favorite tour in Alaska, and it was raining!! The ebikes were easy to use and are the great equalizer. No worries about keeping up. Beautiful rain forest and rocky beaches. Our 2 guides Paul and Siona were awsome, both from Alaska, they were funny and knowledgeable. We loved it !!!!

We have received many comments over the years that people didn't want to go cause of the rain, but were so glad they chose to go anyway cause it ended up being amazing.
