Explore San Diego Tide Pools with a Marine Biologist

Огляд

Adventure with a marine biology educator along the coast and learn more about wildlife living in the intertidal zone of San Diego. Great for all ages and skill levels. There are some stairs and lots of uneven terrain we will walk on, so this is not a wheelchair-friendly activity.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our tide pool exploration.

Groups are kept small (10 people maximum, with exceptions for private groups/families) which makes this a more intimate and personal experience.

Matt was a great guide. We went as a family of five, including two seniors over 75 and one toddler who is under three. Matt was very patient and incredibly accommodating. We learned a lot about the things that we could see. I wish we had more time, but we will be sure to book Matt again for a snorkel tour. He is very a knowledgeable makes exploring the tide pools less intimidating!

Matt was fantastic! He was great with the kids and we all learned a lot. The experience was so much more fun being able to identify all the creatures around us. Highly recommend Matt and the adventure.

Excellent adventure. The tide pools were fascinating -- an ecosystem within itself. Matt has a vast knowledge as a biologist about the plants, animals, tides, and geological formations at the pools. The visit was timed perfectly in accordance with the tide. I was fascinated with the plants and animals in the water! It was all beautiful and Matt navigated the pools with integrity and respect while teaching us the same. He also placed emphasis on safety for us, the property, and the ecosystem. Do this -- great for all ages! Thank you, Matt!
