Enjoy an adventurous winter activity during your time in Fairbanks. On this snowmobile tour, your guide will show you how to operate the snowmobile before leading you out to your adventure, through a true winter wonderland, exploring the frozen rivers, lakes and snow-covered mountains around the Chena Lakes recreation area outside of North Pole.

It is very important that you arrive 30 minutes before your tour time for your safety briefing and gear check to avoid inconveniencing other tours running throughout the day. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your safety briefing, you will forfeit your tour and no refunds will be given. Tours cannot be rescheduled.

If you are using a GPS, do NOT take Conifer Drive. Take Nelson Road only. Allow 45 minutes travel time from Fairbanks.

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Tours are subject to change due weather conditions or lack of snow.
Minimum driving age is 18 with a valid driving license. Ages from 7 to 17 may ride as a passenger only.
Children age 6 and younger are not allowed
Driving time will be around 60 minutes. Safety briefing and fitting of the helmets etc. will be approximately 25 minutes extra, so you must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Optional upgrade to 2 hours is possible pending resources. (Please call office direct).

Kathy was our guide on this adventure, and she did a fantastic job of leading us. She was great at managing our group and pointing out the features of the terrain.

Kathy Larson was amazing!! She made sure everyone had the right gear, gave a clear safety talk, and led a safe/fun/informative tour!! She was accommodating of many different skill levels and checked in many times to ensure everyone was doing okay. She also took her hands out of her gloves in the freezing cold and took pictures of everyone on multiple occasions. Would 100% recommend.

Great tour Kathy was an excellent guide explained everything simply and showed us all the cool sites! Great time carving up the paths on the snow mobiles.
