Our Flathead Lake & Bison Range Tour is a fantastic way to explore a large section of Northwest Montana. Enjoy a narrated tour around Flathead Lake to the Bison Range and back.
Wildlife viewing is definitely a highlight and we've had wonderful success during this tour. However, because we aren't able to predict animals movements, there is no guarantee of viewing, but great past experiences will boost your confidence.
During this trip we make a stop into their Visitors Center, a lunch break, and, as long as there's enough time, we'll make other touristy pit stops you see along the way back.

I cannot say enough great things about this tour! The wildlife is incredible, from birds to large animals, and the scenery is incredibly stunning. We have been across the country at national parks and have not had such an amazing tour. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a different and amazing peek into Montana wildlife and landscapes. Ask for Larry as your guide and make sure he stops for coffee! On this trip we saw: Ruddy duck Osprey Sandhill crane Blue heron Bald eagle Snipe Rattlesnake Bison Cinnamon bear with cinnamon and black cubs Coyote White tail deer Antelope Elk

This is a wonderful tour of Flathead Lake and Bison Range. Our tour guide (Phil) was excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us facts and background in a conversational way. We enjoyed his humor, guidance, and genuine passion for Montana. It was a great tour. Whitefish outfitters is a very well-run business with top quality staff, vehicles, and tours. We will definitely use them again, we can't wait to get back to Montana!!!
