I had 4 days to spend in New Orleans and I took this tour. It was a broader tour and I knew that could get more of an overview of what I really wanted to see when I was in NOLA as time was limited. Little did I know how much I would actually be able to experience! Butch was my tour guide on a bus of about 29 people. Born in and raised in NOLA, the knowledge and passion he shared about his hometown as he drove us around town was excellent. I was beyond impressed with this tour. As a native of Chicago, I have taken tours around my town just to learn some of my city's history and have had some pretty rotten trips. That was not the case here. Butch was informative, humorous, and sincere. We went through the tourist spots, the Garden and Warehouse Districts, and parts of NOLA that was hit by and still recovering from Katrina. He shared some of his memories of growing up and living in this city and what all it has to offer outside of the French Quarter. I was truly disappointed when the tour was over and would have love to just sat and talked with him over a Hurricane! He was a very good story teller and in my almost 2 hour tour, I learned more about NOLA than I thought I would in that time frame. I already have plans to visit NOLA again and will most definitely take another of their tours - maybe the Swamp Tour or a Plantation tour, or maybe just this one again hoping that I will find myself on Butch's bus! I highly recommend! Thanks to Butch for making this a great experience!!
