The pick up process was chaotic & disorganized, reminiscent of the horrible experience when returning from Polynesian culture center. How hard is it to assign the guests to a bus/driver in advance? Instead they tried to play tetris at the last minute & made the guests anxious. We were scrambling around in near panick trying to find out which of the 10 white buses is our ride.
Once the tour started our guide Kiki put us at ease. He was informative, jovial & entertaining, an accomplished ukelele player to boot. As Expected we stopped by many tourist traps: Dole plantation, macademia & coffee farms/shops, local fruit/food stands. Then there was the obligatory stop for garlic shrimp at Fumi, it was good but we had better. The guide will take your lunch order & money in advance, so try to bring cash of various domination or they may not be able to give u back the proper change.
Snorkeling experience (Puaena beach?) was dissappointing. The water was dirty & mirky as it just rained, Part of the small beach was also rocky so hard to find footing.
We made stops for bathroom breaks but lines can be long & some of the facilities were small, dirty & smelly. If you have sensitive stomach i advise you not to over indulge until near the end, the Dole plantation had the only proper clean facility on the tour.
