We went whitewater rafting with the whole family: three adults , five teenagers and two younger kiddos. It was great! Several of our younger crew were nervous about the trip, but they had a blast and were so glad they did it. This trip was a nice combo of a scenic paddle with a good section of rapids. We had to paddle our way through, and everyone did a fine job. Our tour guide was Shaw, and she is the best. We asked her all sorts of questions about the area and she is will versed in the history of the river, including a heavy flood in the '60s and a fire in 1910. She even answered our questions about the rocks on the riverbed.
Lunch was fun, with steak, chicken or veggie burger; chips and salsa or guac; pasta salad; and fruit. I would suggest a larger jug of water since many participants were refilling their water bottles and we ran out. (You can buy water for $2 in the store.)
Did I mention that Shaw was the best? Tip her well. We also had Matt, Aaron and Alan with us, I believe.
A good time was had by all.
