You will also see ancient Anasazi petroglyphs on the canyon walls below Sun’s Eye. ** Includes a Hogan visit with the late Susie Yazzie’s family, who demonstrate traditional Navajo rug weaving and narrate the significance of artifacts such as the baby cradleboard. The Navaho Monument Valley 2.5 hour scenery was great. Would very much recommend, with these caveats: 1) Understand that operators are very laid back. Our driver was late by 20 minutes. 2) When we arrived at meeting point, was told we were at wrong area, wrong group. So sent 200 yards across parking lot to different group. Nope, was told again wrong group—go back to original. Now frantically running, got back to first spot and found someone with more experience. Was correct location all along. Now waited for missing driver. 3) Didn’t get promised water!! We suspected this was going to happen so brought our own water. 4) Guided tour? Nope. Other tour vehicles get running commentary. Nothing for us, just a few things mentioned at stop. Driver very nice, but he was not a guide. Despite all of this, I still rated 5-star. Why? Because of the scenery and wild 4-wheel drive truck experience. It was fun and beautiful and the fact there was just 3 of us in our group made it nice too. At this starting time (5:20pm), light was good and temperatures mild. May 22, 2023

We booked the day of our planned visit and could not have had a better time or a better guide. We were escorted by Phillip and he was courteous, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Well worth the price and the total time around the Valley was right at 2.5 hours. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour by Linda. It was so valuable to have a guide who lives in Monument Valley and has personal knowledge of all the places we visited. It turned out we are from Boise and she had attended Boise State so we had a great time! Loved the weaving demonstration.
