Mornings at Spencer Glacier are the most serene & consistently magnificent time to paddle. Kayak around icebergs and up close to the Spencer Glacier terminus face. Hike onto the glacier moraine and get up close to the blue wall of ice. Enjoy two Alaska Railroad Trains: The Coastal Classic & the Glacier Discovery Train, traveling thru the most scenic Grandview & Tunnels sections of the AK Railroad.

The total iceberg kayak paddle distance is approximately 4 miles. Please let us know your experience level so that we can tailor your Alaskan glacier kayak tour to your party’s ability & ambition. Minimum of 2 guests needed to book.

The most genuinely personable tour company we’ve ever toured with. Our guides (Alex and Roo) couldn’t have been nicer, and more knowledgeable. They took care of every need. Hot chocolate on a glacier beach!! We had the best time on tour. Such an amazing package deal and experience. We will be back again and in the mean time will tell all our friends about this company.

The day was perfect. We visited the wildlife center first with these folks, and then went to Portage for a boxed lunch. They were quite good. I asked for gluten free and they delivered, even cookies. Brief bus ride, excellent safety briefing, donning and using life vests, boat etiquette. First part was on the lake looking at the glacier, then back on the river (not a really rough experience) to where we had lunch and would meet the train. Great day, stunning and fun. Very safe. Kyle was the group leader and a fun professional. Highly recommended, especially for families trying to unplug.

I really didn’t know what to expect going in on this day, but everything was extremely well thought out and ran extremely smooth! First off, I got to the train station in Anchorage, I wasn’t sure if I was in the right line, if I was meeting people, or what, but I realized that I was right by going in the line to the ticket booth, just said my name and what I was doing and it was taken care of for me, she gave me my ticket and I waited. Once on the train I realized I was sitting in a section with others on the adventure I was (there were many others going to Seward for their own plans) but at some point the guides, Brianna, Ben and Alex got on the train and introduced themselves which became comforting to those like me who didn’t know what was going on. The day was full of amazing opportunities, and being awe struck from the beauty I was surrounded by. I went early September so I dressed warm, 3 pants, 4 shirts, a rain coat, winter gear and the kayaking gear, take my advice and don’t do that. It was so hard to move especially while trying to be active. Wear waterproof pants, especially if it’s raining, and I had waterproof socks. I left the day completely dry minus the sweat from all the layers. I went alone, but it worked out so well, I kayaked with one of the guides (Brianna) and she was very easy to talk to and get to know. Ben was my raft guide later, he was entering but also well informed of Alaska, which they all were. Not only did the sun come out for half the day, but we also got to see a rainbow at the end. It was truly magical just as they say. Honestly, best day of my life. So worth the money I was semi reluctantly spending. It was day 1 of my Alaska trip and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to start it!
